11th Annual Springhill Outfitters’ Coyote Challenge

It’s time for the 11th Annual Springhill Outfitters’ Coyote Challenge! This year’s event will take place the weekend of Friday, February 6th through Sunday, February 8th and will feature a cash payout, along with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall, plus Largest Coyote.

The Springhill Coyote Challenge brings hunters together to promote responsible predator management, ethical hunting practices, and strong competition within the hunting community.

Why Predator Management Matters

Coyotes are highly adaptable predators with growing populations across many regions. Responsible predator management helps protect deer and turkey populations, reduces conflicts with livestock and pets, and supports balanced ecosystems.

The goal of this challenge is not eradication, but ethical population control, education, and community involvement.

Event Dates & Format

• Hunting Dates: Friday, February 6th – Sunday, February 8th
• Cash Payout: Awarded to top finishers
• Prizes:
• 1st Place Overall
• 2nd Place Overall
• 3rd Place Overall
• Largest Coyote

Official Rules

All participants must follow these rules to remain eligible:

• No dog running
• No road kill
• No shooting from a truck
• No trapping
• Day and night hunting allowed
• Maximum of 4 people per team
• All team members must hunt together
• Hunting in any state is allowed
• Entry fee: $100 per team
• No property is provided
• All local, state, and federal game laws apply

Failure to follow any rule may result in disqualification.

Sign-In & Check-In Times

• Sign-In:
• Friday, February 6th
• 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Check-In:
• Sunday, February 8th
• Begins at 2:00 PM
• Teams must be in line by 3:00 PM
• Any team not in line by 3:00 PM will be disqualified

Registration Details

• Registration Deadline: Wednesday, February 4th
• Forms:
• Available in-store or online at SO Coyote Challenge Registration
• Forms Required:
• One registration form per team
• Payment:
• $100 per team
• Payment must be received for registration to be valid

Preferred registration method:

• Email completed form to: sales@springhilloutfitters.com
• Remit payment by cash or check at your earliest convenience

Teams will not be considered registered until payment is received.
