Southern Outdoor Classic 2025 Recap: A Weekend for Outdoor Enthusiasts
Sep 4th 2025
The Southern Outdoor Classic 2025 brought together hunters, anglers, and outdoor lovers from across North Carolina and beyond for an action-packed weekend at The Farm at 95 in Selma, NC. From the moment the gates opened, attendees were greeted with live demonstrations, exciting competitions, and plenty of opportunities to stock up on gear for the upcoming hunting seasons.
Whether you came for the competitions, to check out the latest gear, or simply to enjoy the community atmosphere, this year’s event didn’t disappoint and we thank y’all for Takin It Outside with us this past weekend!
Event Highlights
Live Demonstrations
Shotgun demos took place every hour, with different brands allowing guests to test this season’s models on standard clays or flying targets launched by the Claycopter, perfect for trying before buying. At the same time, the archery challenge was in full swing, featuring the Tough Man Shoot and Iron Buck Contest, where attendees could bring their own bows and join the competition. Retriever training demonstrations rounded out the excitement, as Old Mill Retrievers showcased their dogs’ skill on marks and blinds, then invited guests to step in and run the dogs themselves.
